Drexel University said on October 22 that every undergraduate entering in Fall 2027 will need to complete at least one approved Experiential Learning Opportunity before graduation.

The university lists co-op, research, global study, community engagement and courses built around real-world challenges as possible options.

Drexel says most students already meet the requirement through co-op or clinical placements. The new baseline is meant to broaden routes into research, global experiences and community-based learning.

The university is also developing an Experiential Learning Hub where students can find guidance, project space and a place to showcase their work.
