On August 29, an elderly man fell near Block 254A Serangoon Central Drive in Singapore. Property agent Kenny Seah told Mothership that the man appeared to be responding very little.

A passer-by ran over from a nearby playground, lay down and held the man's head steady. It was a hot, sunny morning, so another person used an umbrella to make shade while someone else fanned him.

The passer-by stayed in that position for about 20 minutes, until an ambulance arrived. Another person used a blood-pressure monitor, and the Singapore Civil Defence Force confirmed that one person was taken to Sengkang General Hospital.

The helper quietly walked back toward the playground afterward. Seah said the person did not want attention or recognition, only to make sure a stranger was not alone.
