An electrical fire left Jason Kincaid and his wife unable to return safely to their Macon, Missouri, home. A fire captain contacted the American Red Cross for help.
Red Cross volunteers drove to the couple and arrived about an hour and a half later. They connected the family with immediate assistance for a hotel room and clothing, and brought water and blankets.
Kincaid's CPAP machine was inside the damaged home, so the volunteers also helped arrange a replacement. He said their support gave the family some stability as they began to work out what came next.
