Members of Disney Voluntears gathered at New York's Intrepid Museum on September 11 to prepare meals for charity as part of the National Day of Service and Remembrance.
The volunteers gave their time to a simple task with a direct purpose: putting food into boxes that can reach neighbors facing hunger.
Service days can be quiet and practical. A person folds a box, adds a meal, and sends a little care onward to someone they may never meet.
That is how remembrance becomes useful: one shared afternoon, one packed meal, and one more family supported.
