Mount St. Mary's University has introduced the Maryland Tuition Promise to make its education more affordable for eligible students from Maryland.
Students who qualify will have their annual tuition reduced to $12,500 or less through a combination of merit scholarships and other university aid. Housing, meals, books, and some fees are separate costs.
The promise is for Maryland residents who live on campus, have at least a 3.0 high school GPA, and come from families with income of $125,000 or less. They must also complete the required financial-aid application.
The first students covered by the program are expected to enroll in fall 2027. The award can be renewed for four years while students meet the university's requirements.
