A passerby named Girish became dizzy and collapsed near Lok Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram while Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar was on his way to an Onam celebration. The governor got out of his vehicle to check on him and asked his staff to provide water and arrange medical help.Because Girish’s family was away, the governor’s staff contacted them and arranged for him to be taken to a hospital. The governor waited until the man had the help he needed before continuing his journey. It was a small pause in a busy day, but it meant that a sick stranger was not left to manage an emergency alone.
