The European Commission announced on October 19 that it had selected 77 net-zero technology projects for €3.4 billion in support through the Innovation Fund.

The projects are spread across 23 countries in the European Economic Area. The Commission said they include work in renewable energy, energy-intensive industries, clean-technology manufacturing, and critical raw materials.

The funding is intended to support lower-emission technologies, but the announcement describes selected projects rather than completed results.
