Katelyn Much is nine years old, and her group, Katelyn's Kindness, has a simple way of helping children through hard days.
After a tornado went through the Fox Valley on July 27, Katelyn and volunteers gathered at Patty and Pablo's Family Restaurant in Kaukauna to work on what the group called Kid Kind Bags.
Fox 11 reported that the group was preparing 120 bags. They included toys, shelf-stable treats, drinks, and a card signed by Katelyn. The supplies had cost more than $5,000 by Friday morning.
Parents could register through Katelyn's Kindness, and the group planned to coordinate deliveries beginning Saturday. The bags offered children a small reminder that their community was thinking of them.
