For a decade, the volunteer group Jamaicans Caring for Jamaicans has helped people in Jamaica's underserved communities receive dental care.
During its most recent mission, held in Montego Bay in July, the group provided services to more than 450 patients. The value of the care and supplies was estimated at about J$4 million.
The group says its work over the past 10 years has provided more than J$50 million in dental services, supplies, and related help. Its volunteers include dentists and community supporters.
The organization is now raising funds for future missions, hoping to keep bringing care to people who might otherwise have difficulty getting it.
