After a fast-moving fire damaged or destroyed five homes in Ivins, Utah, organizer Tineise Davenport turned to her charity, Kindness in Motion, to connect residents with people ready to help.

Davenport said about 20 volunteers came to the site. They brought practical help, including a tractor, a front loader and an electrician.

The volunteers offered their time and skills without charge, giving affected neighbors support with cleanup and repairs.

The work ahead is extensive, but Davenport's group helped turn community goodwill into useful, hands-on assistance.
