Students from the Lower Mills campus of Pope John Paul II Catholic Academy joined Boston police officers to make “Blessing Bags” for community members experiencing homelessness, the department reported on October 15.

Each bag included drawings, prayers and handwritten notes made by students and officers together.

Officers planned to keep the bags in their cruisers and share them with people in need they may meet while on patrol. The department said the school partnership has continued for more than five years.
