More than 100 Thai and foreign volunteers joined the Bangkok Community Help Foundation's flood response, The Thaiger reported on October 2, citing a statement from the group.
Teams were preparing hot meals and dry food, delivering drinking water and moving essential supplies into affected neighborhoods, including Khlong Toei and Bang Kapi.
Where roads were difficult to reach, volunteers used boats to bring supplies in. They also helped residents leave flooded homes and arranged transport for people and goods.
The effort was still under way when the report was published. The foundation said it was assisting people regardless of race or nationality and welcomed additional volunteers and supplies.
