Legacy Community Health held the grand opening of its Acres Homes clinic in Houston on October 2. The 26,200-square-foot center had already begun serving patients earlier this year.
The clinic brings adult and pediatric primary care, OB/GYN, behavioral health, on-site lab services, and support such as nutrition and patient education together under one roof.
Legacy says it accepts Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, and most private insurance plans, and offers sliding-scale fees. The organization says no one is turned away because they cannot pay.
Legacy says Acres Homes has more than 54,000 residents, nearly one in four of whom are uninsured.
