During its August factory anniversary, Tainan materials company Dailin Technology joined the North Tainan Family Support Center for a fundraiser to help students.
The company and its employees raised NT$810,000. On September 1, chairman Tsai Kuo-lung presented the donation to center director Li Kuei-ping.
The gift brings the company and its employees’ giving for education to more than NT$8.81 million over the years, helping 5,879 children’s school journeys, according to the report.
The center gave scholarships to 270 high school and college students in August. In September, it plans to distribute another NT$1.2 million to help 500 younger students with school costs.
