When a horse fell into a muddy water hole in Northern Michigan, a group of people gathered to help.Pellston firefighters placed a fire hose beneath the horse for support while responders dug into the muddy bank and shaped a ramp.The ramp was packed with dirt to make it steady. Community members then encouraged the horse toward safety with a nearby bucket of oats.The horse made it back onto solid ground safely. The Pellston Fire Department thanked the Emmet County Sheriff's Office and the community-minded helpers who joined the rescue.
