Zoo Atlanta welcomed two giant pandas, Ping Ping and Fu Shuang, on September 27. The zoo says the pair is currently behind the scenes while staff help them settle in.
Visitors cannot see the new arrivals just yet, but the zoo is sharing updates as it prepares for their public debut. The animals will have time to become comfortable in their new surroundings first.
The arrival continues a panda program that has been part of Zoo Atlanta for 25 years. The zoo says it has contributed more than $17 million to giant panda conservation in China.
For now, the best way to follow the newcomers is through the zoo's Panda Cam page and its updates about when Ping Ping and Fu Shuang will be ready to meet their new audience.
