Progress like this rarely makes a loud headline, because it happens slowly, in the form of better harvests, steadier supply chains, and programs that quietly keep working long after the news cameras leave.
None of this means the work is done. Plenty of communities still face serious food insecurity. But the overall trend line, for the third year running, is pointing the right way.
Researchers behind the report say sustained investment in agriculture and supply-chain infrastructure is the main factor keeping the trend going.
