Robin Gay's car stopped in the middle of Revere Beach Parkway after she left a volunteer shift at Phunk Phenomenon Dance Studio in Everett. Traffic was moving quickly around her, and she was afraid another car might hit her.
Seven Everett High School student-athletes noticed what was happening and came over. They asked Gay to steer while they pushed her car into a nearby parking space, with one student helping direct traffic.
When Gay tried to offer them money, the students refused. Instead, they hugged her and told her they were simply glad she was safe.
The students said they would help again if they saw someone in trouble. Gay said the experience showed how even a small act can make a real difference.
