Two education facilities in Dnipro, Ukraine, have reopened parts of their campuses after restoration work supported by the United Nations Development Programme and the Government of the Republic of Korea.
At the Zorianyi Educational and Rehabilitation Centre, a damaged sports ground was resurfaced and the children's playground was rebuilt with new play and fitness equipment. The project received US$391,700 in support.
At the Dnipropetrovsk Professional College of Sports, repairs improved parts of the student residence and refurbished a shelter. That work was co-financed by the regional administration and UNDP with US$255,600 in support.
The projects are part of the US$14 million REVIVE initiative, which is helping restore youth infrastructure and keep education and other essential services available to communities affected by the war.
